2015 Biometrics Program

These are particularly challenging times and the Benefit Fund wanted to delay the start of the 2020 Biometrics Program to ensure it was safe to proceed. The Board of Trustees believes the biometrics program is extremely important to the health and wellbeing of our members, so they are moving forward with the annual requirement for all Benefit Fund members. Both the Quest blood work and the Aetna Health Assessment are required to be completed by October 31st, 2020. As we have done in past years, failure to complete the requirement will result in a health and welfare surcharge of $20/week beginning March 1st, 2021. This year, there will be no onsite events due to the inability to follow the COVID-19 safety protocols at each employer location. Instructions for completion of the requirement can be found in the letter below.

The annual requirement to complete the Quest blood work and Aetna Health assessment will run from August 1st – October 31st, 2020. We believe that it is more important than ever to stay on top of your health. Even in non-COVID-19 times, leaving chronic conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes untreated can be a recipe for disaster. So, it’s important to keep it in check and monitor the status of your health all year long, even in the midst of a pandemic. Prevention of chronic illness even includes taking care of yourself through a well-balanced diet, daily exercise, and making the choice to change unhealthy behaviors such as smoking or drinking.

The Board of Trustees believes the biometrics program is extremely important to the health and wellbeing of our members, so they are moving forward with the annual requirement. Both the Quest blood work and the Aetna Health Assessment are required to be completed by October 31st, 2020.  The program will run from August 1st – October 31st, 2020 and details will be mailed out soon, as well as posted on the 1199cfunds.org website in the coming weeks.  If you have recently moved, now is a good time to update your mailing address with the Benefit Fund office.  Your employer doe not share updates with the Benefit Fund office so please call (215) 735-5720 to edit your information.
